About Woody Claus: Handmade Wooden Christmas Decor from Maine
Behind the scenes of our workshop
Woody Claus is a small family workshop made up of two elves, based in Maine, USA. This is where every handmade wooden Christmas decoration takes shape: the wood is carefully selected and cut in the forest, following responsible, sustainable cutting practices, then shaped and hand-painted by us.
Our wood
We work with beech, birch, pine, hazel and chestnut, species chosen for their strength and natural charm. Each species has its own grain and color, which is one of the reasons no two Woody Claus pieces are ever exactly alike.
What we make
Our workshop is where our Santa Clauses, Christmas trees, hanging ornaments and decorative boards are born. The photos below open the doors of the workshop.
- Little wooden Santa Claus — a hand-painted figurine for a shelf, a mantel or a holiday village.
- Small wooden Christmas tree — a tabletop tree for windowsills and centerpieces.
- Wooden Santa head ornament — ready to hang on your tree, a wreath or a gift box.
- The Christmas set — a curated selection of our pieces, ready to give.
Made by hand, made to last
Every piece is shaped and painted by hand, one at a time. That takes longer than mass production, but it gives each Santa and each tree its own small personality. Our decorations are painted to be enjoyed indoors or outdoors and are made to be unpacked year after year, so they can become part of your family's Christmas traditions.
From our workshop to your home
Our decorations now live in homes across the USA and beyond, and many of our customers send us photos of their Santas in their new homes — you can see some of them on our customer photos page. Delivery is free on orders over $20.
From our workshop to your home, we hope our creations bring a little warmth and wonder to your holidays.
See you soon,
